Scores of PDM activists take over venue for Nov 30 Multan rally despite obstacles


Events make their own way . Today all political roads are leading to Multan ,where the opposition holds its next jalsa on November ,30 

The roads are bumpy the opposition alliance Pakistan democratic movement (PDM) ventured on to a straight and narrow path after their all parties conference.




At multan , here is what to watch out for 

  • will nawaz sharif escalate beyond his last speach or will he sustain the existing level of belligerence ?
  • Will Bilawal continue  with his enhanced rhetoric  that he utilitised in Peshawar  by referring to the role of the establishment ?
  • If so , will this mean a Change in PPP's stretegy and a more hardline position?
 • will the PMLN succeed in bringing out crowds bigger than the Gujranwala jalsa ?
  • Will it able to stamp its electoral authority on its home base? 
  • Will multan hereald a slow down of the campaign or will it feul to the new highs?


Police and District administration had placed at least 30 containers around the venue Qilla Kohna Qasim bagh , stadium , and more were being brought into block roads leading to the city .
Police was also deployed outside the stadium  as part of efforts to stop the PDM Rally.


But on Saturday hundreds of PPP activists reached the Venu in the form of a Rally led by former prime minister yousaf Razza Gilani's son , Ali Musa Gilani , and broke the stadium gates to enter  and setup a camp  there. they are expected to make preparations for November 30 public gathering.

Ali Mussa Gilani , Ali Haider Gilani along with PPP activists are arrested by Multan police for the last night's action.
